DeliverIT: Transporting Materials Between Libraries

We wanted to let you know about a new development in library services. deliverIT is changing.

We’ve all read the stories about how tight the State budget is. Over the last few years, the Connecticut State Library (CSL) has faced continual cuts in funding—including the funding for deliverIT, the service that transports materials between libraries To make sure all libraries across Connecticut receive fair and equitable delivery services, the State Library is retooling deliverIT.

The new deliverIT will provide delivery service to every library across the state up to five days a week. Each library will be able to receive no more three bins of items per day (approximately 75 books, DVDs, magazines, etc.).

Libraries across the state will suspend deliverIT services for two weeks starting July 3^rd. These two weeks have historically had low numbers in terms of items transported between and among our libraries. Our goal is to lessen the impact on you, our patrons, during these two weeks and then resume deliverIT service on or around July 17^th.

If you have items that came through deliverIT or borrowIT, please bring them back to our library or to the originating library (the library it came from). Our goal is to return all items to their home libraries during these two weeks.

Thank you for your patience during this transition.  Please contact us if you need materials that we do not own.  We will be happy to try and locate them for pick-up in a nearby library.

Reggie Kendall meets many beautiful women at the exclusive Delby Country Club.  He often has drinks with Medical Examiner Quincy Murdoch, and he's been seen sharing a laugh or two with beautiful interior designer Natasha Pasternak.  Now his wife, Daphne Templeton-Kendall, has been murdered at the Delby Country Fair.  Does Reggie protest too much about his devotion to Daphne or does her untimely demise open up new doors of opportunity that are too appealing for him to resist?

Who doesn't love a good mystery, especially one that takes place at a popular country fair in an idyllic small town?  Suspects are everywhere so it might take a while to figure out which devious villager was pushed just a little bit TOO far and finally snapped!  Could knitting expert Adeline Beckett be the culprit?
