Internet & WiFi

For the past few days, we have been having problems with our Internet and WiFi due to system generated updates and human-generated downloads that have been overtaxing our small bandwidth.

We are happy to announce that these issues have been resolved for the moment.  Public PCs and the Internet are now available for use and we plan to reinstate WiFi on Monday.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.

We expect that before 2018 these problems will be alleviated (keep your fingers crossed!) when we convert to fiber optic and have much more bandwidth available.

James Patterson, surprisingly (😕) has another new book available and Jan Karon has added another wonderful story to the Mitford series.  These are all spoken for at the moment, but you can place a hold!

If It's Tuesday Again.....

This is the big day if you've been waiting for Hillary Clinton's new book.  There are a few other big names with new books out today, too.  Hillary's book has several holds, so you will need to place a hold if you want to read it!

We are not at all a "high-tech" library because we prefer face-to-face human interaction, but we like to think that we offer enough up-to-date online features to appeal to most people!  You can register for a library card online, download e-Books and audio books, access databases, etc.

Our statistics show that over the past 3 months about 34% of visits to our website were via mobile devices, yet just 12 people (out of 1318!) utilized the mobile version of our site!  We thought that perhaps you couldn't see the button on our home page, so we created a newer, bigger one and put it right smack in the middle so you can't miss it.
