We are excited to invite the entire community to the Community Concert
on the Lawn featuring Stealhead!
Stealhead, a local jam band from the Hartford/Windsor Locks area, will
perform tunes from The Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton,
Ben Harper, The Allman Bros. Band, Derek Trucks Band, The Beatles, The Eagles,
and Johnny Lang just to name a few!
This will take place on Tuesday, June 26th at 7 pm at the
library! Bring your blanket and chairs, and
get ready for a memorable evening! A
perfect event for all ages! Maybe there
will even be a few surprises too!

Tie Dye on the Lawn!
It’s time to tune up for summer reading at the Windsor Locks
Public Library! The 2018 Libraries Rock
Summer Reading extravaganza kicks off on Saturday, June 23rd with
our Tie Dye on the Lawn. Stop by the
library between 11 and 2 with the item you want to tie dye and a plastic bag to
take your new creation home. All ages
are welcome, so don’t be shy parents!
Everyone can tie dye at the Windsor Locks Public Library! If inclement weather, we will have a rain
date of 6/30/18. We will also have a
community art room set up for anyone who would like to lend their creativity to
our music mosaic project or craft box full of musical goodies. And, don’t forget the most important thing
while you’re at the library is to register for summer reading. We are inviting both children and adults to
take part this year! Get ready for
symphonic challenges and rockin’ prizes!

Coloring Outside the Lines
Do you have worries, tension, or anxiety in your life? It has been proven that coloring, at any age, has meditative qualities and reduces stress. Join us for the popular Coloring Outside the Lines program on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 1-3 PM. Get ready for a relaxing afternoon of coloring for Adults, and tap into your inner creativity! We will provide different designs to color along with colored pencils. This will be our last coloring session until the fall. New RB Digital Services for Windsor Locks Cardholders!
Windsor Locks Public Library announces the addition of several new digital services, now available for Windsor Locks Public Library cardholders. In addition to e-Books and audiobooks, Windsor Locks residents can now access Acorn TV, Indie Flix, and Qello Concerts through RB Digital, an app offered by Recorded Books, the largest independent publisher of unabridged audiobooks and provider of digital media to public libraries.
Acorn TV brings 80+ world-class mysteries, dramas, and comedies from Britain and beyond to library patrons through a streaming video service to any web-connected device. IndieFlix is a streaming movie service that offers access to thousands of pop culture favorites, box office hits, award-winning feature films, documentaries, and shorts. Qello Concerts offers access to a collection of more than 1,500 full-length concerts and music documentaries streamed on-demand to just about any digital device.
Windsor Locks residents may register for 7 consecutive days of unlimited access to any of these services with a Windsor Locks Library card. Binge-watch British comedies, enjoy concerts by your favorite performers, and watch films from around the world, all on your own personal device. All you need is a library card!
