Windsor Locks Journal

The Windsor Locks Journal is available every week at the library, free for everyone.  Unfortunately, this week's and last week's copies were stolen from our foyer.  We are hoping to identify the thief on our security camera and take preventive action so this doesn't happen again.  In the meantime, beginning on August 24, please ask at the desk for a copy if you do not find them in the foyer.  You can find this week's issue online at http://www.thewindsorlocksjournal.com/.

KEY WEST FOOD CRITIC MYSTERY AUTHOR LUCY BURDETTE

Do you love a cleverly written mystery with a likable heroine who doesn't always make the best decisions?  Hayley Snow is the Key West Food Critic.  She loves food, writing about great places to eat, Tarot readings, her cat, Evinrude, and her adopted hometown of Key West, Florida, where she manages to stumble across a dead body every now and then.  Lucy Burdette's 8th Key West Food Critic mystery, Death on the Menu, is here and so is Lucy (Roberta Isleib)!  Please plan to join us for an evening with this talented author on Wednesday, August 15 at 6:30 p.m.  You can register by visiting our website calendar at www.windsorlockslibrary.org or calling 860-627-1495.  Walk-ins are welcome, but seating is limited!

Evolution of Rock n Roll from the 80s to Today

You won’t want to miss the second part of the Windsor Locks Public Library’s Listening series: Evolution of Rock n Roll from the 80’s to Today, will take place on Thursday, August 2nd at 6:30 pm in the Haskell Homestead Community Room.  We will continue our discussion of where Rock n Roll has been, and where it is headed.  This should be a very interesting and laid-back evening for any music lover!  Register for this program at www.windsorlockslibrary.org.

Music Trivia Night!

Tune up your musical knowledge! The Windsor Locks Public Library’s first Music Trivia night will be held on Wednesday, August 1st at 6 pm in the Haskell Homestead Community Room. This particular trivia night will be for adults and teens. This night will engage the audience with fun and competitive music trivia! There will be great prizes for the winners!
