Doorside Service is Up and Running! Place Your Holds!

It has certainly been a long and trying few months and we hope that all of you are well. We have missed interacting with our borrowers and computer users so much!

We are not open to the public yet, but we do have staff working daily to providing holds to our borrowers. There are 3 ways to request materials:
(1) Use the HOLD function in Encore, our online catalog.
(2) Use the REQUEST MATERIALS link on our homepage at www.windsorlockslibrary.org.
(3) Call in and request up to 3 books.

With each of these options, library staff will look for the available requested materials and then contact you to arrange a pick-up time. If you have an email address on your library account you will receive email notification of availability and a request to contact us to arrange to pick up your library materials.

We are currently providing curbside pickup Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (we may eventually add additional times if we get many requests). Arrangements for pick-up should be made a day in advance to allow staff to check out and package your library materials. If we are unable to locate what you need we will place holds for you.

When you arrive for pick-up, please pull up to the portico when a spot is available. Exit your car if the area is clear, and tell the clerk at the door the name of the person that requested the materials. Your holds will be retrieved and placed on the table for you to pick up. Please wear a mask and maintain a safe distance from staff and other borrowers at all times.
