Evolution of Rock n Roll from the 80s to Today

You won’t want to miss the second part of the Windsor Locks Public Library’s Listening series: Evolution of Rock n Roll from the 80’s to Today, will take place on Thursday, August 2nd at 6:30 pm in the Haskell Homestead Community Room.  We will continue our discussion of where Rock n Roll has been, and where it is headed.  This should be a very interesting and laid-back evening for any music lover!  Register for this program at www.windsorlockslibrary.org.

Music Trivia Night!

Tune up your musical knowledge! The Windsor Locks Public Library’s first Music Trivia night will be held on Wednesday, August 1st at 6 pm in the Haskell Homestead Community Room. This particular trivia night will be for adults and teens. This night will engage the audience with fun and competitive music trivia! There will be great prizes for the winners! Author Event Re-scheduled

Our author event, originally scheduled for 7/26, will be postponed and re-scheduled for a later date in the fall.  Keep an eye out for this musical event!

Paws to Read with Bella, the Therapy Dog!

Paws to Read with Bella at Windsor Locks Public Library! Bella, a trained therapy dog, has been visiting the library this summer and she LOVES to be read to. Her next visits will be on Friday, July 27 (10:30-11:30), Tuesday, July 31 at 5:00 p.m., and Friday, August 3 at 10:30 a.m. Take time to read with Bella this summer! Visit www.windsorlockslibrary.org to register. There is a limit of 6 children per session and caregiver participation is required.

Daily Hartford Courant

Did you know that you can access today's Hartford Courant from our home page at www.windsorlockslibrary.org?  The library's subscription to the Courant includes a digital edition each day, which can be accessed through the "Daily Hartford Courant" button under Databases and Online Resources.  Please keep in mind that only the current edition is available.  There are no archives, so you can only access today's paper.  What a treat to be able to read the morning paper over breakfast!

Connecticut Rock n Roll!

The Windsor Locks Public Library is proud to host local author Anthony Renzoni, who has written Connecticut Rock ‘N’ Roll on Thursday, July 26^th at 6:30 pm in the Haskell Homestead Community Room.  A “rock ‘n’ roll enthusiast”, Mr. Renzoni has put together a collection of musicians who hail from the Nutmeg State.  He will be showing a video and leading a discussion.  Copies of his book will be available for purchase and signing!  You definitely don’t want to miss this exciting night of Rock n Roll!  Register for the program online at www.windsorlockslibrary.org.  Feel free to contact the library with any questions at (860) 627-1495.
