Author Laura Bradford

Mystery author Laura Bradford presented a wonderful program in our community room on Wednesday night.  During the course of the evening, she discussed the possible future of both her Southern Sewing Circle mysteries (written as Elizabeth Lynn Casey) and her Amish series.  Researching this series is one of Laura's favorite activities and with every trip to Pennsylvania's Amish country, she discovers new and intriguing details about the Amish people.

Laura also has 2 newer series, The delicious Emergency Dessert Squad mysteries (the second book, Silence of the Flans, just came out on March 7) and the Tobi Tobias Ad agency series.  The Tobi Tobias series is a new direction for Laura, not in writing, but in publishing, since these books will be available primarily as e-books.  Printed versions are also available on demand.

For those of you who may be wondering, by the way, Laura considers Winnie Johnson, the heroine of the Emergency Dessert Squad mysteries, to be the most like herself!

Laura will be venturing into new territory soon, the fulfillment of a long-time dream, publishing an Amish women's fiction novel in 2018.  We will all be looking forward to reading this next year, and to seeing what other great projects Laura has in store for us in the years to come.  And of course, we look forward to having Laura back next spring for her annual visit to Windsor Locks Public Library!
