New Authors

Did you know that Julie Boglisch just published her first novel at the tender age of 23?  On Tuesday, February 28, Julie entertained 15 attendees in the library community room with a short reading from her young adult mystery / magical realism novel, The Elifer Chronicles: Epidemic, and the story of how she became a published author.  She also sold and signed her book.
Windsor Locks Author Julie Boglisch
While growing up in Windsor Locks, Julie focused on her two favorite activities, writing and music, along with the usual academic requirements of elementary and middle school.  After graduating from East Catholic High School, she majored in Communications and Music at Gordon College.  With the help of another published local writer, Leslie Stansfield (Madeline's Teashop mysteries), Julie found a publisher, Cawing Crow Press, and her novel came out on January 13, 2017.  Julie has already completed the first draft of the second of five planned novels in the Elifer Chronicles series!  Julie's book is available in our YA area (and for purchase on Amazon).

Here at Windsor Locks Public Library, we enjoy helping new authors promote their work and we have been lucky to have many established authors visit our library.  If you have a novel coming out, please contact Adult Services Librarian Eileen Pearce.  We'd love to help you launch your new book!
